1. What Stillwater is
Stillwater (“Stillwater”, “we”, “us”) provides the website at stillwateroptions.com and the Stillwater app: pre-market stock research with priced options collars, tools to track positions, and educational guides. Stillwater provides research and education only. It is not a broker-dealer or investment adviser, does not hold your money or securities, and does not place trades. Read our disclosures; they are part of these terms.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding contract.
- Give accurate information, keep your sign-in secure, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
- An account is for one person. Do not share it.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Subscription, free trial and billing
Stillwater is a subscription at $69 a month, plus any applicable taxes. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial, and a payment card is required to start it. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your card is charged $69 when the trial ends and then every month until you cancel.
Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe; we do not store your full card number. We may change the price with notice before the change applies to your next billing period. Fees already paid are not refundable, except where the law requires a refund.
4. Cancel anytime
You can cancel at any time from Settings in the app, which opens the billing portal. Cancelling stops future charges. You keep access until the end of your trial or the billing period you have already paid for.
5. No investment advice
Everything Stillwater shows you, including shortlists, collar prices, examples, track-record figures and guides, is general information. It is not personalized advice and not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security. Options involve risk and are not suitable for all investors. You decide whether to trade, and you are responsible for your decisions and their results.
6. Acceptable use
When you use Stillwater, you agree not to:
- resell, republish or redistribute Stillwater’s research, prices or data, or share them outside your own use;
- scrape, crawl or bulk-download the app, or access it with automated tools other than an ordinary browser;
- copy, reverse engineer or attempt to get around access controls, billing or security;
- interfere with the service or other users, or use it for anything unlawful.
Some data in Stillwater is licensed from third parties and may be used only within Stillwater for your own research.
7. Your data
Brokerage history and other information you upload stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide Stillwater to you.
8. Our content
The Stillwater software, design, research output and guides belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them while your account is active and in good standing.
9. Data and availability
Stillwater relies on third-party market data, analyst research and option quotes that can be delayed, incomplete or wrong. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise that Stillwater will be uninterrupted, error-free or that its data will be accurate or complete.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Stillwater is not liable for any trading or investment losses, or for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to Stillwater is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk. You can stop using Stillwater and cancel your subscription at any time.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When a change is material we will give notice, for example by email or in the app, before it takes effect. Continuing to use Stillwater after a change takes effect means you accept it.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
14. Questions
If you have a question about these terms, send it through the Feedback page in the Stillwater app.
